There is a tarball on the siglinux homepage that has some PPP
stuff tailored for telesys. The part you'd probably be interested in is
the chatscript (telesys.chat, and the doc file for it), maybe the
"options" file too. I'm not familiar with Kppp, so I don't know how to
help you with that.
If you'd like it I'll tarball up all my ppp stuff (I'm using
telesys right now too) and send it to you.
