problem solved. Bill's e-mail sparked an epiphany, I guess. I have my
firewall script set up so that only 24.93.35.64 and 65 can be used as DNS
servers. so all I had to do was adjust my firewall script to use 32 and 33.
next I'll want to fix my dhcpcd-eth1.exe script to change my firewall script
if the DNS servers ever change.
