If you don't get any responses (fortunately, most laptops don't have such
restrictions), you have another option:

1) I have an external (parallel port) zip drive.
2) It is possible to boot from it using the dos linux loader. (I forget
the name of that piece of s/w.)

I think there may even be a HOW-TO about it.

Actually, I don't know if this will work, because I think there are only
Windows (not DOS) Zip drive drivers. And when I used the dos linux loader
last (5 years ago), I had to boot into DOS first.

Well, this may or may not help ;)

(You could do a similar thing if you have > 1 partition on your hd.)
