(re: alternate boot method)
Um, can't you install from a "dos" partition using loadlin.exe to
boot linux from "dos"? I never had to do this. (I'm pretty sure
slackware supports doing this, if nothing else it's nicely segmented into
disk sets for easy downloading-by-intended-functionality.) Of course if
it's a dos-less dos-derivative, this might not work. Again I have no idea
as to the practicality or procedure involved.
