I have been using RedHat for years. I am going to be doing a lot of
application development in Java and C, including writing and playing
games. Is Red Hat the best way to
go? I consider myself to be very
familiar with Linux, so if the best
distrib is not for the novice, then im game J. I’m going to enclose my hardware
specs below, as the distrib must support it all. Thanks. And another question. What do you recommend for
X-Windows? I have tried KDE and
Gnome, and I have always leaned towards Gnome. I have never got the nVidia drivers to compile and work
properly with my video card. My Computer: AMD Thunderbird 1.2 Ghz 512 Gig Ram 2 60 Gig HD’s ATA100 (one for Linux, one for MS
