I'm trying to print to a printer connected to a machine running cupsd. I'd prefer not to have to install and configure samba if I don't have to...
Anyway, the cups docs basically said use samba. But, I found a doc talking about how to do it when cupsd is running on MacOS X (a freebsd derivative) http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20021101062604548 I've followed those directions, but they didn't work. It could be because the windows is windows 98 not windows 2k. But, I vaguely remember printing from windows 98 when I had lpd configured instead of cups.
