That is disappointing.. this is a fundamental usability issue that stops you dead.
nearly 20 mouse clicks each time to make it usable means it is not usable.
Lots of room for error! And it seems that if I do something, 'bang' - I have to reconfigure
What is reasonable: Two or three ... ie: "File Load ..." is ok ...

At the moment support for saving config is extremely limited. One of the
goals of the new file format (which has been discussed for over a year
now), is to allow a place for PulseView to serialize its state.
If you would like to give some time to improving sigrok, I recommend
joining us on the sigrok IRC channel to discuss your ideas.
