Yes, I also assumed that the wiki-page was talking about pland and ideas.

I didn't expect it to be that much work to be done as you've just 
explained it.

I got one a FX2-based LA and the OpenBench LogicSniffer at home, I'll just 
bring them along to work and analyze again then. We do have one BusPirate 
v4 here but I was unable to capture any trace with it.
