Hi Anthony,

without checking versions, my assumption is that the
libsigrok version is too old. Support for the HC device
was added in early 2016, which was after the last
official release. This means that in order to use it,
you'll either have to try the PPAs (see wiki) if your
distribution supports them or build from source.
