I can certainly understand that.

Would it be appropriate to add a word about this in general terms to,
say, the intro on the Supported_hardware index page?  Perhaps the issue
is commonplace in development but it doesn't seem to feature on the
web-search path for hardware purchasers before buying nor when trying to
diagnose a non-working device, and TBH I found "generic" misleading
here:

$ sigrok-cli -V | sed -n '1,4p;/fx2/p'
sigrok-cli 0.4.0
Using libsigrok 0.2.0 (lib version 1:0:0).
Using libsigrokdecode 0.2.0 (lib version 1:0:0).
  fx2lafw              fx2lafw (generic driver for FX2 based LAs)

IIUC now, FX2 devices like HC need both FX2 'class' support and
individual support per device.
