Hello Rolf,

I had a similar experience with Rigol DS1054Z and other devices. Sadly not
all Sigrok's wiki pages are up to date, you have to check the bugtracker as
well. Here is the list of devices that I know for sure are well supported:

* https://sigrok.org/wiki/Noname_Saleae_Logic_clone
* https://sigrok.org/wiki/Mcupro_Logic16_clone
* https://sigrok.org/wiki/DreamSourceLab_DSLogic

The reason why PulseView may crash is that master branch is not always
stable. I had a similar issue some time ago. Currently I'm using the
following packages (note hashes of git commits), they seem to be stable:

* libsigrok 0.2.1.r3057.gbf2a6eea-1
* libsigrokdecode 0.2.0.r945.gf113f6c-1
* sigrok-cli 0.6.0.r48.ga30c837-1
* pusleview 0.3.0.r605.g1931b5f-1

Please note that you also need a sigrok-firmware-* package for your
hardware.

Speaking of documentation, I think examples supposed to be on wiki for your
devices. If they are not there I suggest to check `sigrok-cli --help`. Also
I wrote a tutorial some time ago for DSLogic https://eax.me/sigrok/
Unfortunately it's in Russian but Google Translate should manage, also bash
commands should give you a basic idea without a translation.

If you want to contribute to the wiki, "Log in" page says how to do it:

> If you wish to contribute, contact us in the #sigrok IRC channel on
Freenode so we can create a wiki account for you.

There is a chance that maintainers will answer here as well but according
to my experience they are much more active on IRC.

Hope you find this information useful. If you have any other questions
please don't hesitate to ask!
