For the record, the libsp-part was NACKed on IRC: 23:14 < martling> My approach there has generally been to not do extra things unless the caller asks for them. 23:15 < martling> The philosophy is to try to keep the library functions as drop-in replacments for the corresponding OS-specific calls.
