Made me curious, which protocol would this be? Are you aware of the https://sigrok.org/wiki/Protocol_decoders page and the candidates section there? If it's a popular protocol, somebody might already be working on it, and you could avoid duplicate work, or join forces? Or you could let others know what you are working on, so that they don't spend time on something that already exists? Even obscure and unknown protocols are being worked on. :-D As was mentioned before, the first step to creating a decoder is getting data. Having captures at hand is even useful long before a decoder exists, or is being worked on. Are you aware of the sigrok-dumps repository? This is useful for people who want to learn or explore without needing a setup that generates the traffic and acquisition hardware. Want to provide something so that other users can benefit? virtually yours Gerhard Sittig -- If you don't understand or are scared by any of the above ask your parents or an adult to help you. _______________________________________________ sigrok-devel mailing list sigrok-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/sigrok-devel
