Yes, I am aware of all that.

The decoder is unique because it is for a proprietary piece of hardware based around an FPGA. As such it would not be of interest outside my employers company.

it, and you could avoid duplicate work, or join forces? Or you
could let others know what you are working on, so that they don't

unknown protocols are being worked on. :-D

As was mentioned before, the first step to creating a decoder is
getting data. Having captures at hand is even useful long before
a decoder exists, or is being worked on. Are you aware of the
sigrok-dumps repository? This is useful for people who want to
learn or explore without needing a setup that generates the
traffic and acquisition hardware. Want to provide something so
that other users can benefit?
