RaiMan proposed the following answer:
the actually correct version for this is
type (Key.END, KeyModifier.SHIFT + KeyModifier.CTRL )
and the log currently does not print any sensible output for non-
printable keys (like END). This is a bug.
Your functional problem with Notepad highlighting is a known problem on Windows
and does not work as expected, because of some internal Java/Windows
problems.It is on the list.
