the backcountry ones at least .. like the chinese from hong kong's huge
hinterland (shenzhen and guangdong provinces in mainland china) who love
to talk LOUDLY on expensive cellphones in a crowded train, their belt
festooned with one or two more phones.  Save for a year, take the train
across to hong kong and blow their year's savings in one huge shopping
binge.

some of the more citi-fied indians - and chinese - wouldnt be caught
dead speaking hindi / tamil / cantonese among each other, especially in
front of a "firang" / "gweilo", the local language does tend to become a
bit infra dig.
