Yeah. In my experience, while there's not much to choose from between
Nikon and Canon SLRs in terms of image quality, the user interface is
consistently superior in the former.

What's her thesis about?

It's in Chinese religion and art history - she's looking at a 18th century printing house in Derge that printed a version of the Buddhist cannon; there are murals on the walls possibly created by the monk who founded the monestary there who was also an artist. There's a relationship between these murals and what's included and excluded from that version of the cannon.

I'm thinking about going to Bhutan to look for Blood Pheasants and Satyr
Tragopans.

We went for a friend's wedding and to see some monasteries. And eat lots of chillis. It's an amazing place; people seemed much saner than they are here in the US (I realize this isn't setting the bar very high :-) ).
