So am I -- but I'm waiting for the second hardware generation. Going up to 80 deg C on load and self-throttling is not my idea of good thermal engineering. Also, the glossy screen is a disgrace. Intel and loss of OpenFirmware are just the icing on the crap cake.
I'm tired of waiting. The glue holding my PB's hinge cracked again. On reapplication, I found the glue binds it far too tight, so shutting the lid stresses the hinge, causing the glue to eventually crack again. This machine's not going to be portable for much longer, though it's still one damn fine computer.
Besides, the MacBooks seem to have fixed most of the issues with the MacBook Pros, the glossy screens are not as bad as regular glossies from what I've heard (but that doesn't make them any less evil), and some reapplication of thermal paste should fix the heat problems.
JetStarAsia.com has Bangalore-Singapore tickets for Rs 3500 each way. For that price I could do a trip for well within the Indian price markup and even line up some meetings for work.
