the bigger problem is this veil of secrecy : 'we have banned something, but we dont need to tell what has been banned and why...'
i once tried to get a list of banned books in india, but it was virtually impossible to get an official list of books gazetted by the government as unsavory for the general public. i gather there must be an official government publication of some sort listing and documenting this (isnt it mandatory?). in many countries it is possible to purchase such a list from the government press/archive....
