So I
realize: I grow old, and while I still enjoy life, I learn that dying
isn't that far away anymore. I've probably reached the top of the
hill already. There is also death around in the neighbourhood
(meaning relatives, parents, uncles and aunts etc.), I can't avoid
it. And as a pastor, I have to handle death almost daily, while I see
how people have grown or begin to grow with the experience of caring
for a dying person. Surely I don't want to die a long death, but if
it has to be, it's ok, too, because I know: it's worth it.
