The story has elements that are not credible (to me) - eg what does he mean by "unmarked car" (wasn't it just a car?) and how did he know the men in the car were wearing bulletproof jackets. But it could be true. The only point I want to make is that typically, police in any country (especially democracies) do not do this sort of stuff without political backing. While the police take the rap for the action, it is the politican that escapes unscathed. The politican:policeman relationship is the same as the gangster:hit man relationship. If this story is true this man neds to find backing from a political party that is opposed to the particular politcians who control the police in his town. But the man himself may be rubbing too many people up wrong way - I don't know. He should learn to calm down and write better stories in a tranquil state of mind IMVHO shiv
