Ethiopian food is remarkably similar to Malayali food. They have the
equivalent of an Appam (called injera) with yellow dry cabbage which tastes
like 'toran' and a beef stew (called wat).

I found a rather more curious connection in ethiopia. I met an ethiopian

Gondar (note the name) in northern ethiopia who was doing some

between
the Gonds of india, and certain
tribes in the area around Gondar who also believed they were from a land
called Gondwana land...and the languages
and tribal dieties had many striking similarities.....
