Heh. No, biological tissue is a pretty good shield, with all the electrolytes (now here's an even more difficult problem: getting
power inside the body).

Almost as obnoxious: getting information from inside the body out. At the surface, it's much easier to listen to the nature of the room electrosmog than to anything neuromuscular.

Wireless power is not complete bunk. However, it is always inefficient,
in real environments.

On the low power end, where inefficiency is acceptable, there's passive RFID.

There are some people here in town doing some work on vehicle charging, with the theories that:
a) a chassis forms a large, low rectangle -- a geometry maximizing coupling
b) metal bodywork makes a faraday cage -- minimizing unwanted environmental coupling
