Let's see... a printed multilayer sandwich of

0) clear scratch-proof top cover
1) organic solar cell (with antenna integrated)
2) thin-film lithium cell or similiar 
3) computer (flash, MRAM, maybe static MRAM-based logic)
4) video memory, integrated into display (OLED or polymer LED)
5) pen/finger tracker
6) clear scratch-proof bottom cover

I don't see why this should take more than 5-10 mm, all in all.

If mass-produced, maybe we can have above slate in 10-15 years for $10.
