Their dialogues were clearly scripted, and most of the speakers seemed
distinctly uncomfortable and seem to have trouble repeating them from
memory.

*shudder* Why didn't someone include the mandatory 'RMS Inside'
warning? Some of my thoughts:

1. I find it interesting that almost everyone I saw in the video was
pushing the wrong side of 30's. I was comparing this to the kind of
people (20's, single, predominantly western clothes) I saw in your
typical IT company in Bangalore or Hyderabad. I wonder if Carol did
any analysis on the age distribution among employees in the companies
she studied for her documentary.

2. Someone smarter than me should probably study the speaking and
English skills of those higher up the totem pole in government
organizations compared to those lower down. I found those higher up
the greasy government pole in this video being much more at ease with
the camera and less wooden in their delivery. I wonder if this is
because of self confidence coming with power or the slicker
individuals being promoted to higher strata.

3. I see Umashankar has been rehabilitated now that DMK is back in power.

4. The video, and the fact that it as been uploaded to youtube gives
me great hope for government in India. We may not be into non-gaudy
production values yet. But we are definitely on the road. The glass
appears to be a quarter full.
