I thought I was very clear "I hate patents on intellectual property" not "I hate patents." There are a few IP patents that I think clear the bar for novelty and non-obviousness, but damn few. In particular, in spite of my feelings about IP patents I feel #4744026 was appropriately granted (even though it has generated a lot of controversy.) -- Charles
