You mean "statistically" safe....? If you live in a city with a high rate of violent muggings, you would probably feel safer if you got mugged once, since you are now a statistic, and your chances of getting mugged again are "statistically" lower. Of course, you could always take up mugging yourself, and turn other people into statistical numbers.....
