Hi All, I am planning to drive my brand new car from Chennai to Hyderabad, anyone has any suggestions about the route to take? I have bought the Eicher India Road Atlas, and from a first look I feel I should take the NH-5 to Vijayawada and NH-9 from there to Hyderabad. It looks rather circuitous but on the plus side, it is NH all the way through (NH-5 is part of the golden quadrilateral and apparently is an extremely well-maintained road).
Another option seems to be NH-4 to Chittoor, 18 to Kurnool and finally 7 (which is the Bangalore-Hyderabad road) to Hyderabad. Anyone has done this route before? Gotchas? I'd rather avoid the so-called state highways if I can help it :) Binand
