I don't know more, but offshore wind farms are not particularly cheap
to build, nor cheap to operate. It would do much better to just put
up the turbines on the coasts, of which Perfiduous Albion has plenty.
Unrealistic, yes, unless they make this a national priority.

Aeolean is currently the most cost-effective of all renewables (hydro 
even more, but it is also saturated almost everywhere), but this 
decade should see the crossover of novel solar with cheapest fossil, 
outside of (spatial and temporal) niches.
