Do you have the graphics acceleration on? X is crashing on me several times a week. Temporary freezes (up to several minutes) are also common. If the LTS due in April still has this issues, I definitely need to think about going Debian on the desktop. With KDE 4.0 I finally don't have to barf at the graphical design.
