personally not as much last year than usually cause I was in India since
September and I missed the Camp last Summer (http://www.ccc.de/camp/).
But at least had the chance to participate at the CCC congress between
Christmas and new years day in Berlin
(http://events.ccc.de/congress/2007/Main_Page). It was, like usually, a
great event, a mixture of hacker culture, hacker politics and great
presentations. Never knew before that for instance the (guerilla-)
knitting movement (yes, knitting!) has faced similar problems with
copyright issues.
At all, the CCC in the last year had a great impact on politicization of
the German Hacker movement. The discussion about online-search of
computers raised a lot of questions about privacy, common non-tech
people came together with geeks and created a huge political protest
against the proposed new surveillance laws. Finally, a few days ago, the
highest court in Germany dropped the attempt to spy legally on

So, at all, from my point of view, it was a good 2007 for the CCC and
hopefully we/they ill bring their power into the next fights about
privacy issues.
