I did browse through the Google Apps Group archives and it looks like
people before me
have had a problem in getting Google Apps to work with Rediff [1]
managed domains.

The options available within the Rediff Control Panel for managing
domains are thus:

Domain Assigning (A Records)
Mail Server Mapping
Domain Forwarding (CNAME)
Edit Your Domain Registration Information
Name Server Mapping

Under the Mail Server Mapping, there is place to add only one mail
server and there seems to be no way to add priorities. My Mail Server
Mapping points to ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM and is shown as currently active
but does not show as active in Google Apps.

I have also attempted the CNAME method of activation where the options
available are:

Aliases Host Server

Under the Alias, I've entered the unique token that Google Apps
provided and the host server is set to google.com. This also shows as
active in Rediff but not so in Google Apps.

However, I've set my Name Server Mapping as:

ns5.ns0.com (IP Address: 216.92.61.30)
ns231.pair.com (IP Address: 209.68.2.76)

so that it redirects visitors to the website that is being hosted
elsewhere. But this may not be necessary?

When I check my MX record, it points to dieci.pair.com and not Google.
And if I look up the CNAME record, it doesn't point to Google.

I'm a little lost here. Do I need to change the Name Server Mappings
too? Or is it a problem with Rediff?

My domain is readablelaws.org.in

Thank you.

Best,

Gautam
