Here are some recommendations, based on secondary sources. I have not
read any of them but trust the sources that reviewed/recommended them
to pick them when I am in India next week.

* The Music Room by Namita Devidayal
* Gorilla by Sobasakthi (I have read this one and liked it)
* Patna Roughcut by Siddharth Choudhary
* No God in Sight by Altaf Tyrewala
* Between the Assasinations by Aravind Adiga
* Fuel by Hamid Dalwai
* Hitchhiker by Vinod Goerge Joseph


If you have time, read book reviews on The Middle Stage[1] and
Jabberwock[2]. Both of them have reviewed some Indian books in the
past, which may not have made it to Amazon.
