No, it does not. Even the Keynesians (who are the economics equivalents of creationists) have a hard time coming up with evidence, historical or otherwise, that this "stimulus" will have a net economic benefit; it is the Broken Window Fallacy writ large.

That's all fine and well, but you have completely lost your sense of scale. The sum total of Alaska's pork in a given year is a rounding error in the current scheme of things, several orders of magnitude smaller than the numbers that are being thrown around today.

We are talking about the difference between the price tag of a Boeing 747 and the GDP of India.
