You know, from an electoral perspective it probably *is* ok. Indians seem to have a great capacity for ignoring human suffering around them. On the other hand, nobody ignores roads, power and money. So development trumps morality anyday. I suspect I'm no better. I wonder how I would have voted if I didn't feel like a potential target of the BJP. -- b
