How do you solve such cases ? The only way you solve a false complaint of this sort is to get the woman in question to withdraw her complaint. Essentially you give in. But the Dowry Act still requires that the woman establish a demand for dowry. The Cruelty provisions are far worse. A mere complaint of mental cruelty ensures arrest of all accused. And there's no anticipatory bail. First you get arrested then you try and get bail which is generally rejected initially. It's a far more abused provision. > > > johnson >
