Hmm you forgot the stretch between Mumbai and Pune (I have done some really good treks there) and the Konkan region. It's just that my appetite for trekking in the monsoons has been sated. That said the best time to visit would be just after the rains (Mid-September onwards) when there is enough water flowing in the brooks and the waterfalls. to each his own :) -- Vinayak
