Thanks for that pointer. Jana Aranya is one of my favorite Satyajit
Ray films (along with Mahanagar and Nayak). Speaking of translations
of classics, I bought _The Eighteenth Parallel_ last time around. It
is the English translation of the Tamil book by Asokamitran set around
the "police action" in Hyderabad. I really liked the pace of the book
and its narrative style. I hear there is a sci fi book by Asokamitran
that has also been translated. Going to look for that this time
around.
