Alok left us after during our first year, despite our best efforts to hang on to him, so we can't really count him as a law degree person, but there are several more examples, just from our NLS Bangalore class (and even more if you go outside it). In addition to Gautam, just from our class, I can think of more than one IAS officer, and atleast 4 entrepreneurs (doing non-law businesses - some of them are serial entrepreneurs). Someone told me while I was still in law school (so late 90s) that NLS Bangalore had become the new St Stephens - the place where a lot of bright kids who don't want to go to IIT or do medicine go - even if they don't really want to do law as such. And I think that's the main reason - a lot of these people ended up at law school without actually wanting to be lawyers and nothing in law school changed their minds. Badri
