It's my turn to do a Shoba....I'm not holding a brief for those tele serials...but they got the whole nation together and glued to the TV at the times they were telecast...and I certainly did enjoy both the tales being re-told and enjoyed the unintentional humour even more. As far as the Mahabharatha was concerned...I liked some of the dialogue a lot, liked the fact that Rahi Masoom Reza wrote them..and I actually did cry when Karna and Duryodhana died (to me, they are far better characters than the sneaky Pandavas!)....laughed through all the "special effects"....loved all of the kitsch, and even now, when I see a plastic mace in a toy shop, it takes me back to those Sunday mornings!
