The points behind this development seems to be security - which also sounds ridiculous that we want to develop "simple" OS to make things secure, when you can technically just unplug the computer from the network and it is as secure as it could be. For all you know, going with hint of "antivirus" there, this might actually be a firewall software which someone misheard or misrepresented.
