Old news, actually. There's been enough and more talk about the Times
Private Treaties and other similar, but quieter, ventures by other media
houses. What I find particularly amusing is that after spending a bunch of
time and money on an investigation and report, the government is actually
considering not releasing the findings. I wonder if the vested interests in
political circles have as much (or more) to lose than the media houses
themselves if they're named as parties in these transactions.

Not that credibility matters, either in the media or in politics.
