I put it to you that you, being a silk-lister, are being too clever by half. Most people I meet as patients will not acccept a diagnosis that can be made by looking at a problem. They will want an investigation to prove it. Which is one of the reasons why needless investigations are done. The story and my experience have a meeting point in a joke that most of you might have heard already. Nevertheless here goes. Weeping woman goes to vet with dead dog and says "Do something" vet says: "Your dog is dead" Woman rants, "What the heck. You did nothing and you say my dog is dead. What kind of vet are you?" Vet says "OK" - goes to next room, fetches a cat and puts cat on carcass of dog and removes cat after a while and says dog is definitely dead. Woman relents and asks about fees Vet says 2500 dollars "What?" asks woman, "why so much?" Vet says "500 for the consultation and 2000 for the CAT scan" shiv
