I will excuse the man - he belongs to the generation that thought "The US is the center of the universe" and lived in an era when this seemed to be true. and writes from that perspective. But he certainly does lay on the crap fairly thick to make an argument that ends up looking like the strawman it is if you can wade thorugh the thick layers of crap. shiv
