Fact of the matter is the vast majority of us are mediocre - by definition -
and incapable of transformative behaviour. The oases of the 'western world'
just offer an incredibly richer variety of opportunities to lead a life of
significantly elevated mediocrity ("suburbia" as someone put it). To each
his/her own indeed.
