I guess there will always be those who go in their fancy dresses and fancy cars to the charity balls and multi-dollar dinners, and those who actually work for the causes themselves...both are required. But can we not have some mandated transparency from organizations, showing what percentage of their income is being spent on admin and other costs, and what actually goes to the work done? In India I find very low accountability on the part of NGOs.
