If you like what you are doing you probably would not retire. But whether you personally "unretired" or not may be a completely unrelated question. There may be situations in which one is allowed to retire if one has put in 20 or 25 continuous years of service and that "retirement" entitles the retiree to certain benefits. For some people it may make sense to retire at that time and do something completely different. I had a cousin (now no more) who was a fighter pilot who lived for flying - but a spine issue ensured that he was grounded. He took it badly and retired from the Indian Air Force after he had put in the stipulated years of service and then had a second career after that. shiv > >
