Hello Silklist, I've lurked on here for a while and finally, after several gentle prods from a patient Udhay to introduce myself, here goes nothing. Delighted to “meet" you all - my name is Hari. I work in the tech business as somewhat of a chief cook and bottle-washer, and outside of work I'm interested in far too many things for my own productivity. At the moment those “far too many things" include electronic music, cryptography, and old computer games from my childhood (I was an early geek).
I’m also playing a lot of Rez, a cult computer game that integrates electronic music composition into a traditional rail-based shooter, and explores the concept of synesthesia. I’m spending about an equal amount of time worrying about the amount of state-sponsored surveillance we're being subjected to and the ongoing debate about the right to privacy, and its erosion, in India. I read the threads on the list with much interest and now, with an impending sabbatical leading into what I hope will be semi-retirement, I'm hoping to be less of a lurker. I hope to meet some of you at the Silkmeet in December. Cheers, -- Hari
