I've been lucky to have been made redundant a couple of times in my career, both times of the "We're shutting the whole company down, you're now on gardening leave, please hand in your laptop and go home" variety that give me a sudden and unexpected period of paid leave (plus redundancy payouts so there's no immediate rush to start a new job), and I can heartily recommend taking such breaks from work! -- Alaric Snell-Pym (M0KTN neé M7KIT) http://www.snell-pym.org.uk/alaric/
