Chiming in late here: 1. I recently bought a Laz-y-boy recliner and (on impulse) decided to up the budget I allocated to buying a 55 inch TV, and buy a 65 inch one. The combo of a large screen + recliner has been wonderful, especially in these times when a theatre visit is out of question.
2. Shoes. I do a lot of walking and like comfortable slip-ons. Skechers is a favorite brand, though I will buy anything that is comfortable. Comfort is the most important thing for me, and I am willing to pay a premium for it. However, I am not brand conscious and one of my most comfortable pairs of shoes was purchased for Rs 800 in Hanoi. 3. Work: I have a home office, so I don't think twice before investing in laptops (Acer Aspire), monitor (Dell), mobile (OnePlus), printer (HP) ergonomic work chair and desk. I would rather invest in good equipment like a glare-free monitor, and in ergonomic furniture than pay a doctor. 4. Travel: I like to do an international trip once a year. At age 51, my years of slumming it are well past me :-) Venky
